Three months already ... TDH

A "post" that should be done in one day took 3 days! ... God that time flies when you're in good company! Indeed, I started this post on December 8 and I concluded at the moment! ... Busy Mom!

There are now already 3 months, Thomas and I were sitting in the back of a small car whose trunk was filled with all our luggage, it was morning. It was wet, weather was gloomy and the streets were filled with water. We had just come in Lugansk to Kiev after a night train to meet our children for the first times. We knew this day would change our lives ... but never to this extent?

Were we certain that these children were ours? I was. Especially when I noticed the date on the dial of the car, he indicated 8-9-10. We were the September 8, 2010! I immediately showed the clock to Tom, explaining that this date was so important and it meant a new beginning!

Three months have passed since that date so memorable and so many things have happened!

Three months since the first meeting two months since I have children with me every day and nearly two months since our arrival in Montreal! Not a single day without something special ...

Children thrive visibly and Tom and I will resume the perks ... Not easy to become parents overnight, two foam that move, saying no, have significant needs to fill, defying parents, etc.. But despite major adjustments that we had to do, we are convinced that we " go through! "Already, life become easier and we find all sorts of tricks to simplify life and more enjoyable for everyone! And the reward of having two children so beautiful, lively, affectionate, intelligent and charming greatly compensates the lack of time and the limited time "only" we have succeeded have had since October 13. But it is so worth it!

Children seem to enjoy their new life so it's great! ... and they have not seen anything yet!

Here are some new bulk of the small family-Ouimet Olshefsky ...

Andrei started school October 27 last. I really hesitated before sending it immediately (two weeks after our arrival in Mtl), but his wit, his desire to learn and need to be surrounded by friends of his age have me convinced. So he joined the class 13A (A to host) is that Ms. Geta holder and a dozen other students from around the world every day trying to learn French. In addition to having a phenomenal memory and an aptitude for languages clearly, Andrei has the chance to speak French at home. Already after 6 weeks at school, he speaks very eloquently, knows most letters of the alphabet (it's so different from the Cyrillic alphabet as fifty !!!), etc. etc.. The licensee found curious, lively, friendly with everyone, considerate and very nice. I constantly asked Andrei if he liked school and I was always confirmed. It is also I confirmed that Ms. Geta. This is very good news. We are very proud of him ...

A typical day: Dad and wakes up at 6:30 Andrei at 6:45. (I wake up too often but sometimes I stay in bed and take those few minutes of calm) Breakfast and lunch for Andrei and go ... Wears one speed and one leaves with cold weather hat, mittens, scarf and backpack. The bus takes Andrei on the street corner and takes him to school. Then Lisa wake up and we do our activities (swimming, shopping, drawings, songs, etc..) Andrei comes home from school at 15:50, Lisa and I'll look around the corner. Duties, snack and Dad arrived around 17:30 - 18:00 and we prepare dinner. Around 19:00 this is the bath relaxation and then sleeps between 20:00 and 21:00. We have not yet managed to have a routine stable at this level but it's coming ... And the next day again!

Despite the routine, there were all sorts of interesting activities ... for large and small!

We spent Halloween at Aunt Josée Laval with cousins Emma and Alexis. What a story! What an adventure! Incredible that disguising it knocks on doors that they give us candy! What an extraordinary celebration! Andrei believes that Halloween should also exist in Ukraine!

We also went to the cottage ... Wow, a real paradise for small children! They just loved it! There was also an evening at the cottage to meet friends in the Eastern Townships in to Orford Gilles Pub (Pub Burger). Although the invitation was launched at the last minute, the children had the chance to meet several friends of Mom and Dad! It has also climbed Mount Orford lane 4 Kilometers by our great friend Lisa. Great! Obviously it is not gone way up but probably up to 3 / 4 of the mountain! C That was a beautiful sunny day in early November!

We also discovered the Aquadôme in LaSalle. What extraordinary pool for kids! We went to bathe several times. It's Melanie (and Remi) who told me about this great place ouu kids rule! Large slides, a waterfall and a huge wading pool for toddlers. AndreiElisaveta door to the moment of small arms and floats is so impressive to be able to float without touching the bottom! She loves the water! She even mounted in the slide 3 times only to discover it swallow lots and lots of water each time ... how do they understand that it must close the mouth?? Small moms at the pool told me that she must learn to breathe in water and then have the reflex to close his mouth and not swallow all the water she swallows now.

In early November, Andrei took 8 years. We celebrated Russian restaurant in Cave on Cote-des-Neiges. What a memorable evening. Any Olshefsky family was there and the children sang and danced all night. Lisa loved the microphone! Andrei has impressed everyone by singing all the lyrics of a popular Russian song.

This weekend we will go to the Embassy of Ukraine in Ottawa for a party for adoptive parents and children. There will be music and snacks Ukrainian. We rented a van for the occasion because we are going with Babushka and Diedouchka. Kids will surely enjoy ...

short life was proceeding normally and without any jolts. ; Elisaveta made his first nightmare this week and not too cry, she just came over me stick and ended his night in our bed. She was so proud of them wake up! It was between Dad Mom and ... the dream! is that Andrei was worried when he did not see in his bed. It is at once came to meet us in the morning and come together, the four, it was a lie! It was Sunday morning, Lisa had a great timing!

A HUGE THANK YOU to all the great moms who gave me clothing, books and toys! It's really amazing how this has helped me boost. Not only is very expensive to have to buy EVERYTHING but it takes too much time that I have not much. Thank you, thank you thank you!

A huge thank you to all our friends and family members who have helped enormously in every way possible and impossible! Thank you for being there for us and for Andrei and Elisaveta! They already love you all very much!
