You do you realize that these children are going through? This is absolutely incredible!
They currently live in a beautiful orphanage, very well maintained and managed. They eat very well (their fill anyway), have several "moms", a bed in a large room shared with friends, a huge playground with many section ... dozens of brothers and sisters ... little cuddle but still ... A healthy climate and peaceful.
In just over ten days after Judge will antériné our desire to adopt these children (the court date is this Friday at 12:00), they leave what they have known better since their birth for it to come with us. They will say goodbye to all their old friends to go into the unknown with two parents who seem very nice and love them but ... Aliens anyway!
You really have an extraordinary character to live it! Love Our Children are real leaves. Despite their short lives, they have already experienced tremendous pain and severe trauma and they will be living another experience quite traumatic. They will leave by train for a journey of more than 15 hours, remain nearly a week in an apartment in Kiev a bit odd, before ending, 12-hour flight later, a place to call home. So many emotions! What a difference! Luckily Mom and Dad are very nice and seems totally "in love" with them!
arrived in Montreal, they will get to know so many unknown unknowns ... new grandparents (Charles and Vera), another grandma (Colette), a new aunt (Amy), and cousins all new. They will also meet all the friends of Dad and Mom ! They will get used to sleeping in another bed in another room, in a new home. ... Even two they will also discover the little cottage at Eastman ... its lake, kayaks, his fire, birds ...
Andrei will quietly move towards the host school. There he will learn French to prepare to join the regular school ... Everything will be in French. It will be somewhat intimidating. Lisa its share will remain with his mother but soon will attend a pre-marternelle one or two days a week, just to keep in touch with small and possibly make new friends.
They no longer hear speak Russian ... except maybe a few times from Grandma Vera but French and English ...
So many emotions they will live these little ones!
Long travel, jet lag painful adaptation at all levels, etc..
Have we done this for them, for us or for us four? Will we be happy all 4 in this new life? Definitely!
We will all live the 4 major changes in our lives and we thank God for all be fighters and winners ... positives , people who can adapt and move on through hardships and come out enriched and Grandits!
You have supported and continued to do throughout this adventure, but believe me, if you challenge still interested, you can continue to do so when we went to Montreal because the simple details will be dizzy and we will overcome surment some interesting challenges!
Thanks for being there, thank you for continuing to be and thank you especially for coming to Montreal to help us every 4 to tame our new life!
